Well, it’s has been another fab year of writing and I’d like to say, “Thank you!” for your continued support! It means a lot to me. Here are the top five posts from Martinis and Motherhood for 2015.
5. What Happens in Vegas…
This post was widely read and, funnily enough, it had ladies googling: “Shannon Day’s Husband” in what I assume was an attempt to see a picture of John! When Mamapedia shared this piece it brought almost 2,000 visitors to my site which was the most I’d seen in one day.
If you missed it, here is the fifth most popular post of 2015: What Happens in Vegas (Reflections of a Non-Jealous Wife).
4. Marriage isn’t Safe …
Do you feel like you’ve married the perfect person for you yet sometimes you must refrain from bopping them in the nose? If you’ve answered “yes” to this two-part question then this post is for you. It has made the rounds this year and was published on BLUNTmoms, Mamapedia, The Good Men Project and on The Huffington Post. Each time it got people talking. Do you relate?
Here is my fourth most read post: Marriage Isn’t Safe.
3. 50 Shades of …
When the 50 Shades of Grey movie was set to release in February 2015, I felt compelled to share my take on the books. I tend to get a bit “fired up” when it comes to 50 Shades. And I’m not the only one! The books and film have been widely discussed, with passionate views from the lovers and the haters. In fact this piece was my most commented on post of 2015. Where do your passions lie when it comes to 50 Shades?
Here is the third most popular post for 2015: All I See are 50 Shades of Red.
2. Eva Mendes Knows her Stuff
Do you remember when Eva Mendes said, in an Extra interview, (jokingly, I’m sure) that sweatpants were the “number one cause of divorce in America”? Well, I wrote my own humour piece in the form of an open letter to the sweatpants that almost ruined my marriage. It was my second most read post for 2015, likely because it was a topic (of great importance) that was trending at the time.

- Coffee Talkin’
I interviewed my ‘ol university housemate, Carolyn Mackenzie, back in 2014 but our interview has been the most read post this year! It seems Carolyn has lots of viewers “searching” to learn more about her. And, luckily for me, their searches are bringing them to my site. Since our interview, Carolyn has moved from her her nighttime news anchor spot and is now co-hosting Global’s Morning Show. She also has a hilarious tale in our book: Martinis & Motherhood: Tales of Wonder, Woe & WTF?!
Here is the top most read post of 2015: A Coffee with Global TV’s Carolyn Mackenzie
Did you know that Shannon Day and 36 other fab writers have created a book? Well, it’s actually a martini guide too.
