It’s sort of like a party here today at Martinis and Motherhood. Reason being, we are officially one year old! And to honour our birthday, I thought it would be kinda cool to celebrate together by taking a scoot back to where it all began – with a re-print of my first post: Cocktails and Canvases.
Then, I’ll be shaking up a very tasty martini. And I think you should make yourself one too.
But, before we can proceed, Mindy Miller (of Mindy’s World fame) wanted to dedicate her Birthday video to us. She’s insisting that it be shown right away. Continue reading
It’s me, Mindy Miller and I’m back again to share with you our latest video. This one was for Mr. Miller’s birthday on Friday. He was soooooooo surprised and he especially loved the birthday suit that we spiffed up just for him.
This video is a wee bit longer than the others and those 3 1/2 minutes will in fact be gone forever and you won’t ever get them back BUT Francesca has outdone herself this time with her filming, editing and directing talents so go on, press play!
Love & kindness,

Hi there friends! I know I said I was leaving BUT I have more to tell you…
I want you to know what inspired my latest masterpiece: A Poem for Moms. (You can watch my Oscar deserving performance of the poem over at BLUNTmoms)
It all started last week at Francesca’s soccer tournament. I am happy to report that her team has come first place, by the way. She is a talented little miss, that’s for sure.
Anyway, I was so proud of the girls so I made everyone on the team a cupcake to congratulate them. I also made a giant sign that said “Larry Lobster’s Cafe’ is the Best!’ ” (that’s their team).
I brought my megaphone as well and I shared a few fabulous new cheers that I’d made just for the girls…
Hi there friends!
Today is a sad day for Francesca and I as we are saying goodbye to you all. Who knows, you may see us again sometime but for now, we are moving on.
Thank you sooooo much for your support and encouragement plus your likes, your comments and your shares throughout this past month.
What a whirlwind it has been! Did you miss any episodes of Mindy’s World? Here they are:
Thanks for joining us again here on Mindy’s World!
This week Francesca and I have been back on track. We’re not quite two-peas-in-a-pod but pretty close! The Roar video that we did last week must have done the trick, so I’m super excited about that.
Now, many people have been asking me if the fame of Mindy’s World has changed me. Well, friends, I can assure you IT HAS NOT! I am still the same Mindy Miller that I’ve always been…
I am sooooo happy to have you back. It’s been a bit of a reflective week for me, to be honest. I’ve been worrying about my relationship with my daughter, Francesca. After last week’s disaster (Learn to Shine at Story Time), I’ve realized that she and I aren’t as close as we used to be.
There was a time when we were like two-peas-in-a-pod but not anymore. She has started doing things like eye rolling and scrunching up her face in an angry way. And she seems to have a reluctance to take part in the things we used to do together, even our daily dance routines!
Thanks soooooo much for joining me here on Mindy’s World. Today’s topic is: Story Time Fun because story time is a very important part of every day! Francesca just loves it when I read to her and I, of course, have many unique ways of making story time memorable and fun.
Dance may be my passion but when it comes to storytelling, I shine like a bright star in the night sky. Don’t worry, you can shine too because luckily for you, I’m willing to share my skills…
